A new trailer for Dragon Quest Builders is out this week, focusing on the basics of Square Enix’s upcoming sandbox game, and there’s probably not a better clip to watch if you’re still trying to figure out what you’ll be doing in Dragon Quest Builders when it debuts in October.

Without a doubt, Dragon Quest is one of the biggest franchises in the gaming industry. It may not enjoy the same sales it saw at the height of its success, considering all of the urban legends about the so called “Dragon Quest Law", but we’d imagine there are more than a few people who still don’t quite understand the latest addition to the traditional RPG series. Fortunately, there’s a new trailer for the franchise’s first sandbox game that should give curious consumers a better idea of what to expect from Dragon Quest Builders at launch. And it’s not just cliff notes on the game’s plot either.

The new Dragon Quest Builders trailer breaks the game down into individual components, reminding players that they’ve been tasked with rebuilding Alefgard, setting for the first Dragon Quest game, in an alternate timeline where the evil Dragonlord rules the world. Players will start small, rebuilding small towns and defending them from monsters, gradually rebuilding a world that’s been overrun by monsters for hundreds of years. Plenty of familiar sandbox mechanics will be included, like cooking and crafting, and building will obviously play a central role.

For a complete breakdown of the action in Dragon Quest Builders, take a few minutes to check out the latest trailer from Square Enix. Then head down to the comments section and let us know what you’re hoping to see in DQB when the game debuts next month.

Dragon Quest Builders is in development for PS4 and PS Vita. The game debuts Oct. 11.
