Fortnite officially revealed the release date for Chapter 2 - Season 2. So when is the big day going to be? The launch is going to be on February 20.
That's not all for Fortnite in February though, as early next month update 11.50 will release. The update is going to move Fortnite to make use of Unreal Engine’s Chaos physics system. While the goal is to make sure that the game continues to feel like Fortnite, the development team revealed that that there are going to be some bumps along the way. This upcoming update is going to be tested with a small group of players first to gather feedback for improvements made over time.
Fortnite said that before the current season ends, additional Overtime Challenges are going to be offered along with a new two-week event.
Frozen Legends Pack
Players prepare to welcome eternal iciness as Fortnite is releasing the Frozen Legends Pack. The Pack includes:
- Frozen Raven Outfit & its Frozen Iron Cage Back Bling
- Frozen Red Knight Outfit & its Frozen Red Shield Back Bling
- Frozen Love Ranger Outfit & its Frozen Love Wings Back Bling
Save The World Update
For this week, Save the World is offering everyone the power of Black Metal with Night Owl. Night Owl fires an arrow that drops over time and deals moderate damage along with heavy impact. The damage, range, and velocity all increase with charge time. Night Owl is available from the weekly store until January 29 at 7:00 p.m. EST.
Save the World is also bringing back Wukong, which means it is good to be king. Wukong is available starting January 24 at 7:00 p.m. EST. Wukong's skills include:
- Standard Perk: Explosive Rounds
- Every 6 ranged weapon eliminations, trigger an explosion which deals 37 base damage in a 1 tile radius.
- Commander Perk: Explosive Rounds+
- Every 6 ranged weapon eliminations, trigger an explosion which deals 111 base damage in a 1 tile radius.
- Team Perk: Soaring Mantis
- Mantis Leap allows 2 additional jumps
Update 11.40
Last week Fortnite released update 11.40, which introduced sidegrading to the game. This feature lets players take their assault rifles into non-competitive playlists and then upgrade them to heavy assault rifles. The upgraded weapons are then reintroduced into the Battle Royale.
