After three years of Grand Theft Auto V, you'd assume the people at Rockstar have used up its good ideas and are surely moving on to Red Dead Redemption 2, but you'd be wrong. On Thursday, Rockstar teased new details on its next major GTA Online Gunrunning DLC.
Like the CEO and Bikers DLC, the new Gunrunning update offers a new lucrative industry in Los Santos and Blaine County for enterprising players to partake in. This time, Rockstar announced, the Gunrunning DLC will introduce GTA Online to illegal weapons trafficking.
Obviously, gun trafficking is no easy business and ambitious entrepreneurs will need a bunch of tools of the trade to get started. According to Rockstar, players will get to own "massive tactical, full-service Mobile Operation Centers," weaponized vehicles, new weapon upgrades and deep customization. It's a lot to take in, but a couple new screenshots were also shared to give us a better idea.
The screenshots include teasers for our own Bunker, a weaponized Tampa, and an armored APC vehicle.
While Rockstar revealed the GTA 5 Gunrunning DLC release date will be sometime in June, the official date has yet to be confirmed. That said, the first look at Gunrunning details and screenshots were followed by the announcement of a new Double RP and Double Money event that is currently available from May 26 through June 12.
Since June 12 is a Monday and past GTA DLCs were consistently released on a Tuesday, our best guess is the upcoming GTA 5 Gunrunning DLC is expected to arrive on Tuesday, June 13, the day after the GTA event ends.
