The Season 5 premiere of Arrow airs Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 8pm on the CW and after the events of Season 4, Team Arrow is now down to just Oliver and Felicity.
With Star City always on the brink of destruction, can Olicity do it alone? Or will they have to recruit some new members after Laurel’s death , and Diggle and Thea left to… find themselves? Their departures don’t make a lot of sense but leave the door open for new or returning characters.
But before we get to any new additions to Team Arrow, we have to see if Ollie can wander the streets of Star City alone; that’s what ‘Legacy’ is all about. Here’s the synopsis of the Arrow Season 5 premiere:
“After Laurel's death and the departures of both Diggle and Thea from Team Arrow, Oliver takes to the streets solo to protect Star City's citizens as the Green Arrow.”

It was teased in previous interviews that we will find out what Laurel told Oliver on her deathbed at the end of Season 4. Judging from the trailers, Oliver will be acting as the Mayor of Star City, which should give the show a new dynamic, but we will see if Season 5 will right the ship.
How To Watch Arrow Season 5 Premiere Online
If you don’t have cable, there’s no way to (legally) watch Arrow Season 5 episode 1 live online. Your best bet is to download The CW App and watch on-demand tomorrow. The CW App is free and there’s no cable login necessary. Unfortunately, The CW App is the only way to watch next-day, since Arrow isn’t expected to stream on Hulu anymore.
