There have been several reports regarding Ubisoft's upcoming Free-To-Play Battle Royale called Hyper Scape. The company has launched a brand new teaser website that is presented as home of Prisma Dimensions, a technology company specializing in "direct neural simulation".
Hyper Scape turned out to be Ubisoft's first-ever Battle Royale shooter. It also seems that the company is taking a sci-fi approach to the game's theme.
The information was first revealed by Esports reporter Rod "Slasher" Breslau on Twitter. Breslau said that Hyper Scape is currently in the works at Ubisoft Montreal and is going to be out for PC and Consoles. He also mentioned that the game goes into closed beta next week on PC and an open beta is planned for July 12th. The console launch is expected sometime later this year with crossplay support. Breslau also added that the game will be heavily integrated with Twitch.
Breslau went on to add that Ubisoft has invited several streamers, YouTubers, and other gaming influencers to see and play the game ahead of the closed beta launch.
The game is finally official and we just have to wait until Ubisoft makes a full reveal of the game in the coming days. Even though the website is currently live, it doesn't offer a lot of information on what the game is all about. However, the website does point out July 2 as a specific date and we suspect that this will be when Ubisoft will start dropping teasers, trailers, and hints to build up the hype.
Hyper Scape will mark Ubisoft's first entry into the currently popular battle royale genre. If you've been a fan of BR games, you might already know that the genre is being currently dominated by games like Call of Duty Warzone, Apex Legends, PUBG, and Fortnite.
