Fans of the Ice Age franchise are ready for a new adventure, and once again to its all thanks to the saber-toothed squirrel protagonist. Scrat stars in his first solo adventure game in Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure. This 3D action-adventure game is scheduled to be released October 18 on the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
In Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure, our clumsy protagonist is on an epic quest to recover his precious acorn from the ancient Scratazon Temple, which used a mysterious mechanism to lock it away. The only way to unlock his prized possession is to find four legendary Crystal Nuts scattered across the land. However, with Scrat’s never-ending bad luck, it’s going to be quite a challenge.
Players have to guide Scrat through a 3D action-adventure across classic Ice Age locations. He faces prehistoric dangers, including hostile creatures and crazy calamities. Players need to make the most of Scrat’s hilarious acrobatics in order to be able to maneuver the varying terrain and avoid the insidious insects, fierce wolves, and giant prehistoric bosses. Scrat's abilities include being able to jump from icicle to icicle, ride raging geysers, leap across burning lava, and even reach for impossible heights.
Discover treasures in these locations in order to unlock special powers and help Scrat to jump higher, grab heavier objects, and find every last treasure. Once you have all the missing relics, return them to the Scratazon Temple so that Scrat can have his cherished nut.
As you explore the adventure-packed locations, you might also want to try spotting some familiar friends along the way.
In a press statement, the CEO of Outright Games, Terry Malham, shared that this is an exciting time for everyone at the studio as they intend to expand on one of the biggest properties in kids’ entertainment in a way only video games can. He added that “revealing to the world how fun Scrat’s first solo adventure game is, as well as announcing when you’ll be able to play the game itself, is something we hope will delight Ice Age fans of all ages.”
Pre-orders for Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure are now being accepted.
