Update 20 (Patch 0.23) for Industries of Titan is “lit” as buildings can now catch fire and potentially spread to nearby structures. In addition, Patch 0.23 brings a new rebel challenge where you can choose whether rebels continue their assault or stop their attacks after having their bases cleared.
Fire Gameplay
There are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to this new mechanic. Buildings will catch fire after receiving moderate damage. Once they’re burning, they can quickly spread to nearby structures, so make it a priority to extinguish the fires immediately. Fires can generate lots of pollution, which causes the health of your employees to slowly deteriorate if left unattended.
While buildings can now catch fire, there are certain things that you can do to get the situation under control. The first is you can have single buildings burrow to the ground. That’s because burrowing will effectively extinguish the flames. If you have two buildings of the same type constructed next to each other (leaving you unable to use the burrow command), you can have the buildings repaired by your employees. This also creates new jobs for them in the process. You can hope for rain or snow as these natural weather conditions can douse the fire.
