Flex Support Bang “Jjonak” Sung-hyeon of the New York Excelsior has reportedly generated the most jersey sales during stage two of the Overwatch League. The Season 1 MVP has definitely remained a dominant figure this year, especially after earning a spot on the Atlantic Division All-Star team.
It is worth noting that Jjonak has led his team to the top two spot in the professional esports league. Halfway through the season, the New York Excelsior have established a record of 12-2. The team’s numbers are second only to Vancouver Titans’ 14-0.
The top five jersey sellers are composed of DPS Jay “Sinatraa” Won (San Francisco Shock), Tank Son “OGE” Min-seok (Dallas Fuel), Support Ryu “ryujehong” Je-hong (Seoul Dynasty), and Off-Tank Gael “Poko” Gouzerch (Philadelphia Fusion). As for SF Shock Tank Matthew “Super” DeLisi and Atlanta Reign Support Dusttin “Dogman” Bowerman, they reached the 6th and 7th spots, respectively.
All of the aforementioned players managed to top the jersey sales list in stage two. They are also participants in this year's Overwatch League All-Star game, an event that took place between May 15 and May 16.
The Atlantic Division All-Stars wowed everyone after snatching a 4-1 victory. The team pulled off the win despite the fact that the Pacific Division All-Stars introduced star players hailing from both stage one Champion Vancouver Titans and stage two Champion San Francisco Shock.
JjoNak is known for his dynamic and high level of play. His outgoing personality, in particular, has helped him outrank the others, skyrocketing himself to stardom immediately after his Overwatch League debut nearly a year and a half ago.
The former MVP is definitely not slowing down anytime soon. Fans can expect him to wear the number 44 as he continues to be an essential player for the NYXL. JjoNak is also famous for displaying the highest level of competitiveness in the Overwatch League, making him one of the best support players out there.
The Overwatch League is expected to return on Thursday, June 6th for the third stage. The New York Excelsior will be up against the Houston Outlaws.
