After two years of waiting, we finally get to see independent developer TALLBOYS’ fully realized project: the first-person zombie shooter Pandemic Express.
Do you like trains? Do you like zombies? Pandemic Express has both! It is a first-person zombie shooting game that has players on the edge of their seats. You can be both a human fighting for survival or a zombie looking for a meal, which is a boon for players looking for some variety in their zombie titles.
The game begins with a total of 30 players who all rush to a train in hopes of escaping from hordes of zombies. The train leads to safety, but don’t think you’re safe when you board. The game only begins the moment you step in, because one passenger is infected.
If you choose to be a human, you can collect weapons to destroy zombies, but once you are infected, you will head over to the side of the zombies. If you become a zombie, you respawn every time you die and gain more abilities as you turn more humans into zombies. So basically, while this game is more convenient for the zombies, its challenging aspects can make humans so much more fun to play as. In the end, the team who has more players will have the upper hand. If you manage to arrive at the train platform without turning into a zombie, it’s a hooray for humans; likewise, if you all get infected before the train even reaches the platform, the zombies win.
