Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Complete Edition is now available on Nintendo Switch. The game offers all the content and characters of the versions on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. It also has the 12 prize maps along with all the post-launch content.
The game is the very first from EA to make use of the Frostbite engine’s capabilities on Switch. This feature optimizes both the visual and audio experience for this particular platform. Besides, the Frostbite engine has been updated so that it supports several Switch-specific features, such as touch screen input and motion controls.
In Plants vs. Zombies: Battle For Neighborville Complete Edition, players get the chance to take some rather unconventional missions with goals of beating epic bosses, unlocking some excellent outfits, and collecting medals. The Switch version gives players access to 23 fully customizable characters. There’s also the Team Play class for each faction. Additionally, all cosmetic items are being offered as in-game unlockables, which means there’s no need for a premium store or currency.
The game lets players play the game offline as well. If they want co-op gaming, they have the option to play with three friends or enjoy some 8v8 multiplayer sessions.
In a press statement, PopCap Vancouver Producer Melvin Teo revealed that lots of fans have long been asking for Plants vs. Zombies to be available on Switch. He added that they’re finally making good on that request. Teo continued that they’ve made some updates to the game and controls, and assured players that they’ll be engaged for hours.
The game is available for $39.99 and you can get it here.
Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is the third part of the Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare series. Unlike the earlier Plants vs. Zombies game, which was a tower defense game, Battle for Neighborville is a third-person shooter. The game was released back in 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Upon its release, the game received mainly positive reviews with critics saying that while it did not exceed expectations, it remained to be a silly and fun game.
