When it comes to esports, talent and skill are important. There are times, however, when having the right equipment can help push players towards victory. Talking about equipment, Logitech G announced that it’s set to release what could be the lightest wireless esports gaming mouse ever made. Dubbed as the G PRO X SUPERLIGHT, Logitech G says that this could become the new standard, especially for many of the elite esports professionals in the world.
This latest offering joins the company’s already impressive range of PRO Series gear. In fact, Logitech said in a press statement that the G PRO X SUPERLIGHT has been field tested and even “played a key role in helping ASTRALIS win the Season 12 ESL PRO League Final, and G2 Esports win the 2020 League of Legends European Championship.”
In the same statement, Natus Vincere CS:GO player Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev said that when playing CS:GO, having good aim is important. He went on to say that with this wireless gaming mouse, he was able to play at his peak and “with zero limitations, zero compromise and most importantly, zero misses.”
Meanwhile, Counter Logic Gaming Valorant player Benita “bENITA” Novshadian revealed that this new gaming mouse “is light and accurate, allowing me to focus just on the game and the task at hand.” She added that it was clear that there was “absolutely nothing holding me back.”
In order to be able to meet the demands of competitive gaming, this gaming mouse was redesigned and engineered in order to lower the weight while making sure that performance was enhanced. Thus, compared to the standard PRO Wireless, the G PRO X SUPERLIGHT is almost 25% lighter.
The PRO X SUPERLIGHT offers a more responsive 2.4 GHz LIGHTSPEED wireless for untethered play with a battery life lasting for as much as 70 hours. This new mouse has large, zero-additive PTFE feet in order to bring with it a low-friction experience and deliver unmatched precision, speed and maneuverability.
What else? Well, the PRO X SUPERLIGHT is equipped with Logitech G’s HERO 25K sensor at 25,600 DPI. According to Logitech G, this is “the industry’s first sub-micron level mouse sensor that can accurately track movement at the sub-micron level — approximately 1/50th the thickness of a human hair — without compromising on accuracy.”
That’s not all as the HERO 25K sensor makes use of a smart power management system in order to continuously adjust frame rates, basing it on the movement of the mouse. This allows the mouse to minimize power consumption. That means even at high DPI, this sensor is 10 times more power efficient compared to the previous Logitech G sensors.
Talking about the PRO X SUPERLIGHT, Logitech G PRO Series Portfolio Manager Chris Pate that they “pushed the boundaries of what’s possible when you combine advanced technologies like LIGHTSPEED and HERO 25K with innovative super lightweight design.” After being tested and validated by different pro athletes worldwide, Pate went on to say that this gaming mouse is indeed “the answer for gamers who are looking for the pinnacle of performance.”
The Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT is available starting on December 3, and is priced at $149.99.
