Prepare For Trouble As Team Rocket Leaders Have Arrived In Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go announced that Team GO Rocket Leaders have arrived in the game. Trainers around the world can encounter the likes of Cliff, Sierra, and Arlo. Not only have these leaders captured Shadow Pokémon, these shadow pocket monsters have been strengthened using unnatural means. That's not all, as none other than original Team Rocket leader Giovanni may have arrived as well.

Giovanni and Team GO Rocket leaders appear to be making use of technology in order to disguise their hideouts. Don't worry, as Professor Willow, Spark, Blanche, and Candela have been working hard to develop new devices that can counter this new technology. With the arrival of Team GO Rocket, Trainers can expect these features:

• Open up your Special Research: Looming in the Shadows
  • Professor Willow has issued new Special Research for Trainers. By helping Professor Willow, players should be able to track down the villainous Team GO Rocket Leaders and possibly even Giovanni himself.
• Find Mysterious Components
  • Team GO Rocket Grunts may drop Mysterious Components.
• Assemble Rocket Radars
  • The Team GO Rocket Leaders are concealing their locations at PokéStops.
  • By putting together six Mysterious Components, Trainers can create a Rocket Radar.
  • Use the Rocket Radar to scan the area around for the hideouts of Team GO Rocket Leaders.
• Battle the Team GO Rocket Leaders
  • Cliff, Sierra, and Arlo have made their move, and they’re here to challenge Trainers.
  • Trainers need to approach the hideouts they locate with the Rocket Radar and have their best Pokémon battle parties ready.
  • Trainers need to defeat the Team GO Rocket Leaders and rescue their Shadow Pokémon as these Pokémon might have special qualities.
  • Only those with Rocket Radars are going to be able to detect hideouts and battle Team GO Rocket Leaders.
    • However, Trainers can still collaborate, meaning if one Trainer detects a hideout at a particular PokéStop, others can detect the same hideout in the same place.
• Complete Special Research to battle Giovanni
  • By fighting Team GO Rocket Grunts and defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders, Trainers should be able to prove their worth. However, they need to be able to complete research to receive a Super Rocket Radar from Professor Willow. The Super Rocket Radar is going to help locate Giovanni.
  • It appears that some Grunts have figured out what the plan is. They may pretend to be Giovanni and get in the way.
  • Defeating Giovanni gives Trainers the chance to rescue Legendary Shadow Pokémon.
