Shovel Knight’s next DLC pack, Specter of Torment, is already out on the Nintendo Switch, and we now know when to expect it on all other platforms. The good news for PC owners is you’ll get to play first.
According to the Yacht Club Games website, Specter of Torment will be available on PC (via Steam, GOG, the Humble Store or the official Shovel Knight site) on April 5. If you want to play on any other console, you’re going to have to wait. Wii U, 3DS, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Vita and FireTV are all listed as “April TBD” right now on the site. The good news is that we’ll only have to wait one month at most to play.
Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment will be coming as a free update for those who purchased Shovel Knight before it became Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove. If you haven’t purchased Shovel Knight, Specter of Torment can be bought separately for $9.99, or as part of a bundle including Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope and Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows for $24.99.
So what do you think? Are you excited to play through the new Specter of Torment campaign? Will you be picking up the Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove bundle? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
