The lineup of free games for Xbox Live Gold subscribers has been revealed by Microsoft. As always, four games will be included, two for Xbox One and two for Xbox 360 (with Backward Compatibility). Without further ado, let’s get into the game offerings.
Xbox One
The first game coming for Xbox One owners is the horror game Layers of Fear. Players take on the role of a psychologically disturbed painter trying to complete his masterpiece. Expect plenty of puzzles, secrets and jump scares when Layers of Fear becomes available to download for free from March 1 to 31.
The second game coming on Xbox One is Evolve: Ultimate Edition. Evolve isn’t worth paying money to play, but getting everything for free is definitely a more attractive prospect. This 4v1 monster hunting game will be available to download from March 16 to April 15.
Xbox 360
The first game coming for Xbox 360 in March is the hit shooter/RPG Borderlands 2. Team up with up to three friends and take on all the raiders and score all the loot. If you haven’t tried it yet, definitely give Borderlands 2 a spin. The game will be available to download from March 1 to March 15.
The second Xbox 360 game getting offered for free in March is Heavy Weapon. This 2D side-scroller is reminiscent of classic arcade games, with players hopping in a tank and fighting off an entire army single-handedly. Heavy Weapon will be available to download from March 16 to March 31.
