Confession time: this is a clear-cut example of Betteridge’s law of headlines, which states “Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no.” With Rick and Morty Season 3 already late in production, we’ll have to wait for Rick and Morty Season 4 if we’re ever to see Lady Rick on Adult Swim.
Originally conceived by Rick and Morty storyboard artist Erica Hayes, the gender-swapped Rick (Rhonda and Femrick have been proposed) is pretty much perfect already:
Though Femrick is a creation of a Rick and Morty animator, Hayes called it nothing more than a “warmup drawing.”
Still, with Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland expressing his love for the gender-swapped Rick, the thought of her making an appearance in a subsequent season isn’t all that outlandish.
