The Division 2 says it releases on March 15, and that is partially accurate. The actual answer varies based on what console you bought The Division 2 on, what version you bought, and where you live. The same goes for when you can start preloading The Division 2. Let’s break it down, and explain all the differences.
The Division 2 Preload Times
If you bought The Division 2 on Xbox One or PC, this is simple. You can start preloading your copy right now. This only goes for digital purchases across the globe, and works across all versions.
Things aren’t as simple on the PS4 front. Gamers in Europe who bought the Gold and Ultimate Editions can preload now, but those who purchased the standard edition must wait until March 11 at 12:01 a.m. local time.
In the Americas, preloading for the PS4 Gold or Ultimate editions begins on March 10 at 12:01 a.m. EDT. Standard edition copies can be preloaded on March 13 at 12:01 a.m. EDT.
Those in Asia have a similar situation to America. PS4 Gold and Ultimate versions can be preloaded on March 10 at 12:01 a.m. local time, while standard editions are available for preload on March 13 at the same time.
The Division 2 Start Times
So when can you actually start playing The Division 2? Again, it’s complicated and depends on what version of the game you bought.
On Xbox One, Gold and Ultimate gamers can start playing on March 12 at 12:00 a.m. local time. PS4 copies of Gold and Ultimate editions go live on March 12 at 12:00 a.m. local time everywhere in the world except the Americas, where it goes live at 12:00 a.m. EDT specifically. This means those on the west coast can start gaming on March 11 at 9:00 p.m. PDT.
For standard editions of The Division 2, PS4 and Xbox One copies all go live on March 15 at 12:00 a.m. local time, except PS4 copies in the Americas. PS4 copies in the Americas go live specifically at 12:00 a.m. EDT on March 15.
For PC gamers, The Division 2 releases Gold and Ultimate editions launch on March 12 at 1:00 a.m. EDT and standard editions go live on March 15 at 1:00 a.m. EDT.
