HTC is up to something, but so far has only given the most vague of clues. Last week, the manufacturer sent out to press, a teaser image the shadow outline of a smartphone with a curved frame and the caption “Power to 10.” This week, a teaser video has surfaced courtesy of HTC Turkey , also teasing the “Power to 10” hashtag.
While there have been a handful of rumors about the HTC One M10 flagship, including a possible name confirmation , there remains little indication about when the device will be announced. Rumors suggest an April 11 launch in London, but for as much teasing as HTC has been doing, the manufacturer continues to leave out this vital piece of information.
Recently spec rumors for the HTC One M10 suggest the smartphone will include a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip and a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture for sharper photos and better low-light imaging, plus a 5-megapixel front camera. Rumors also suggest the device will feature a fingerprint scanner, which would be a first for an HTC flagship. The HTC One M10 is expected to run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with HTC’s Sense 8.0 UI; however, HTC has said it aims to pare down its custom interface to promote faster Android update cycles for its smartphones.
Recently, tech informant Evan Blass shared image renders he claims are of the HTC One M10. The handset looks like a mix of the only M series design and the new design, introduced on the HTC One A9 last August.
