With the announcement of the final Super Smash Bros. amiibo and the brand new Link amiibo, it has been revealed that some of the new amiibo will be exclusive to certain retailers.
Some keen-eyed amiibo hunters have found that certain amiibo will be found in stores like GameStop and Amazon. However, that doesn’t mean that all of the newly announced amiibo will be exclusive to a physical/online retailer.
If you missed the announcement, the final Super Smash Bros. amiibo will come in two versions. The original character amiibos for Cloud, Corrin and Bayonetta and a second version. Cloud and Bayonetta will come in different outfits while the Corrin amiibo will come in a male and female version.
Version 1 of Corrin, Cloud and Bayonetta will be available in all retailers but the new Link amiibo and version 2 of the three Super Smash Bros. amiibo seem to be exclusive.
GameStop will be the place to go to get the Cloud Super Smash Bros. version 2 amiibo and the Twilight Princess Link amiibo.
If Amazon is your choice of retailer, you’ll be able to pick up the Skyward Sword Link amiibo and the Corrin Super Smash Bros. version 2 amiibo but it has not yet been confirmed.
Bayonetta version 2 and Majora’s Mask Link are the only two that don’t seem to have an exclusive home but it’s likely they will be available only at Best Buy, Toys “R” Us or Target. We’ll update as soon as we learn more.
In the meantime, let us know if you keen about the exclusive nature of some of these amiibo and which ones you are planning to purchase in the comments section below.
